First Post!

Not to start things out political, but the book that stood out for
me the most in high school, and what I seem to be relating back
to now in 2017 is Suzanne Collins' trilogy of the Hunger Games.
If you want to start getting into books and don't know where to
start, I would definitely recommend this series. It is such an easy
read, with exciting plots and almost inconspicuous government
themes that foreshadows todays culture. This series took
"nose in the book" to a new level for me, as I was finished with
the trilogy in one weekend. Although I was a little shaky on the
entirety of Mockingjay, I am curious to hear your thoughts on
Collins' young adult novels and how you think it translates into todays society.
